UK, London. SuperyachtDesign is excited to announce the dates of SuperyachtDESIGN Week 2014, which will run from 24th to 26th June at Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour and will offer a programme packed full of engaging discussions, presentations and think tanks. The inaugural SuperyachtDESIGN Week, which took place in June earlier this year, turned out to be a resounding success, enticing top designers, suppliers, naval architects and artisans from both the nautical world and dry land to the three-day event.

This year's event saw the first keynote speech on day one firmly set the tone of further discussions, with award-winning land-based designer Rabih Hage declaring that yacht interiors were ‘boring’, even going as far to say that his intern could do better in some cases. From this point, the impressive line-up of big name speakers, industry reps and delegates combined to produce a recipe for unprecedented design dialogue between creative influencers.

Five hundred people registered as a Designer Guest for the event, with 200 delegates attending the conferences. The total metre-age of signed superyacht projects represented by the designers and naval architects in attendance was nigh on ten thousand. One design studio we spoke to was working on a total of 850m-worth of projects.


Among those present as delegates were representatives and figureheads of prestigious yacht design studios like Andrew Winch Designs, Reymond Langton Design, Redman Whiteley Dixon and Terence Disdale Design as well as key industry players from Awlgrip, Silverlining, Linley, Chris Bangle Associates, Bentley and some of the world’s top shipyards (to name just a few).

What with the exciting interactive innovator sessions, the talks, brainstorms, networking, artisan presentations and general socialising, SuperyachtDESIGN Week 2013 was a celebration of superyacht design that really informed, questioned and pushed the industry.
