Business, Crew, Operations, Technology
After completing a degree in Bio Chemistry and working in the bioscience division of Shell Oil, Andrew left the UK in 1991 to start working on sailing yachts in the Caribbean. He has operated large yachts under the MCA's Large Yacht Code since its publication. Through work with the PYA he has been heavily involved with engaging with policy makers to help make the rules and regulations concerning large yachts suit operational needs. He has been, and continues to be, involved in several projects involving new technology and yachts. Google Port View, IHO’s Crowd Sourced Bathymetry initiative and GPS Hacking with the University of Texas being examples of these projects.
