After a very strong performance in 2015, Benetti has announced the sale of a new custom build 70m displacement yacht named Project 169. The project is hull number FB270 and is the collaborative design work of Benetti's in-house team and the owner's personal design team.

Project 169 is the the seventh 50m+ contract signed by the Italian yard in the past 12 months. The project is still in the design phase, but more details are expected to be revealed in the next few months.

The CCO of Benetti, Mr Fabio Ermetto, is extremely satisfied with the sale, confirming the leading position that Benetti has in the market. "Benetti has consolidated its reputation as a reference point for all those owners with vast experience in the yachting market - as with the owner of Project 169", he said.

Project 169

Benetti currently has 33 yachts in build, with 15 scheduled for a 2016 delivery. The biggest yacht in build is the 106m FB 277, due to be delivered in 2019.
