Baltic Yachts has become the first superyacht builder to obtain the ISO14001 and OHSAS18001 certificates. This act as recognition of Baltic’s development and implementation of best practices in the areas of quality, safety and environmental awareness.

Baltic Yachts quality and production engineer, Andreas Snellman said:

“Thanks to the implementation process of the Environment and Safety systems, Baltic Yachts personnel have become increasingly aware of environmental and safety aspects, which they can affect in their daily work and thus contribute to a safer and more congenial place of work. In addition, more effective production is achieved, ensuring greater orderliness and optimal use of materials in the production process.”

Marjo Keiramo, Managing Director of Baltic Yachts, added:

“We are very proud to have obtained these certificates. They are the result of 12 months of hard, unstinting work, in which both minor and major processes have become more effective and documented. They will go on contributing, in a positive way, to the company’s profitability and competitive strength in the light of the clear, effective processes throughout the whole project time. This will also enhance the image of Baltic Yachts as an employer who takes good care of its employees and actively works for an even safer and more secure place of work.”
