De Boom daughter joins board of Cote d’Azur marina
Family business, Arie de Boom Marine has appointed Roxanne de Boom as member of the board of SNBR (Société Nautique et Balnéaire de La Rague). Miss de Boom will help oversee strategic development of Port de La Rague, Cote d’Azur.…
It represents the fourth generation of the family to play an influential role in the business, and there are hints further expansion of the modest capacity marina will ensue.
“I have a huge respect for what my family has achieved and am thrilled to now play my part,” commented Roxanne de Boom.
“And I am truly honoured to have been invited to join the SNBR board and help deliver what we hope will be another step change as regards capacity and capabilities at Port de La Rague.”
Arie de Boom Marine has managed Port de La Rague for 35 years and was responsible for adding new facilities including mini-market, snack-bar, bistros, boutiques and a diving school.
Located five miles south-west of Cannes, it is described as a ‘special yacht haven, with real character’. Developed from a natural harbour, it is nestled in a quiet spot beneath historic railway arches. It has a maximum LOA of 40m, and is near private and public beaches.
Father, Alex de Boom said he was very proud to be working alongside his daughter:
“We are so pleased our company is as rock solid today as it was before the financial crisis. Our business has grown through hard work and constant re-investment without debt. Roxanne’s professionalism in everything she does will help ensure that we as a business continue to go from strength to strength and that, via her SNBR input, Port de La Rague will do too.”
Dutch company Arie de Boom Marine is a multifaceted yacht services company on the Côte d’Azur offering marina management, yacht brokerage and refit.
