Fire on board ‘Blue Vision’
Following a reported electrical short circuit, 44m 'Blue Vision' caught fire at its berth in STP, Palma de Mallorca last week. While no one was hurt, the incident is said to have left the motoryacht with sufficient damage.…
The fire started on the afternoon of the 18 August when police and fire fighters were called to put out the blaze and stop it spreading to other vessels in the vicinity. The fire was extinguished after an hour and the crew of Blue Vision and neighbouring yachts are said to have acted swiftly and effectively.
While no one was reported to have been injured in the blaze, the yacht is said to have suffered sufficient damage, the extent of which is not yet known.
The local authorities are leading an investigation into the cause of the fire. SuperyachtNews.com will keep readers informed with any updates.
