Global Services appoints Frank Luard as General Manager

Following the company’s recent expansion into new build provisions, Global Services has announced the appointment of Frank Luard as its new General Manager. Luard, whose background is grounded in property and development management consultancy, said of his appointment: “It’s an extremely exciting time to join Global Services - they have impressed me with their professional, efficient and reliable service and are now in a position to further streamline their core business structure. This should result in even greater service efficiencies whilst maintaining the team’s expert, transparent and ‘can do’ philosophy.”

Founder and Managing Director, Richard Gardiner added: “We are delighted to have Frank on board. The business has grown at an impressive rate in the past few years and we have some exciting projects in the pipeline. Frank will help us drive new initiatives and ensure that we maintain our focus on excellent customer service.”

Marketing Manager, Rebecca Scarrott elaborated on Luard's immediate charge: “One of Frank’s first projects here is to spearhead the roll-out of our new bespoke purchase ordering system which comes online this week. The system has been two years in development and is designed to handle Global Service’s ever expanding internal processes making a huge difference to the way the business runs from accounts and sales, right through to warehousing. The new system is set to increase productivity and efficiency and ultimately free up capacity to further expand both the new build and operational divisions.  Global Services customers will also benefit from the new technology as second-phase developments are set to deliver an online customer portal where orders can be tracked, previous orders recalled and even new orders raised.

"In the past 15 years, Global Services has worked with over 250 new build projects and in June launched an official ‘new build division’ focussing specifically on the service requirements of new build crews, project teams and yards. The dedicated New Build service is proving to be extremely successful and Frank’s appointment as the General Manager will help Global Services further expand its new build operation.”
