Going Croco Loco

The latest samples of Edelman Leather arrived in the SYD office recently. The range entitled Croco Loco is a take on classic crocodile leather, which is cow hide transformed into three textures; Napa Loco comprises a single shade shade, Croco Loco has a large scale pattern, and Croco Pequento is a tighter pattern. Each pattern is hand antiqued, a process where craftsmen had-rub a contrasting colour into the leather's surface to enhance the grain and embossing. The hides are then presented in crazy colourful combinations from blue grass to gold mine and voodoo. The accent for this collection is a happy colourful party look."A tequila collection of colours," is how Echo MacKenzie from Edelman Leather describes the collection. With a crocodile motif from Andy Warhol, circa 1960, this collection is a celebration of the quirky and cool.
