HISWA Suppliers 2016: De Keizer marine engineering
Superyacht electrical installation specialist, De Keizer is in the midst of a period of rapid expansion.…
The Dutch-based electrical installation specialist, De Keizer marine engineering is expanding the scope of its operation internationally, with news that the recent opening of its Antibes Experience Center will soon be followed by the opening of a new West Palm Beach service centre, located within Rybovich’s North Facility.
General manager, Han Buckx said of the new office, which will complement its existing Dania base, “We are opening a new service facility and shop in [West Palm Beach] in September, and Rybovich are planning to move part of their business to the North Facility, so we will work together on refits.
“In both locations there is a lot of activity, and a lot of refit business. And we believe it’s possible to have two [offices] there, act very fast on all kinds of questions and service items in the harbour.”
The Antibes Experience Center.
De Keizer is also in discussions about establishing a similar arrangement in Fort Lauderdale by the beginning of 2017.
This strategic geographical positioning will help to implement De Keizer’s new Managed Premium Service, its fixed-price-packaged after-sales programme that includes pre-crossing checks, documented maintenance schedules, remote diagnostics and support and equipment training for the crew.
The proposed West Palm Beach location.
“This focuses on value effectiveness and client retention”, Buckx explained. “It’s important for a superyacht that the documentation is up to date, and if there is an emergency we can have a specialist on board without any extra costs.”
Next year will also see the launch of DekaSis 2.0, De Keizer’s bespoke alarm monitoring and control system that was first developed at the turn of the century.
