Ince Law Singapore partners Incisive Law LLC
Ince Law Singapore has formed an 'alliance with Singapore firm, Incisive Law LLC. The partnership is in line with Singapore's growing prominence as a maritime hub.…
According to Jane Biddell, who was involved in the development, the move was a continuation of Ince’s longstanding presence in the region:
“Ince & Co Singapore was established in 1991, so we’ve been there for two decades, providing an English law practice for the international business community.
“Since the Singapore Attorney General changed the laws governing such arrangements, it was possible for us to form an alliance with Incisive. This was definitely in our interests because we could involve some very senior partners with experience of both contentious and non-contentious legal advice.”
Bill Ricquier and Mohan Subbaraman, who are both prominent local lawyers with extensive maritime experience, will head the team. They are joined by Bernard Yee, Carolyn Chia and Tricia Tong.
As Biddell explained, “Singapore is rapidly developing itself as a maritime and offshore hub, and our expansion is in line with this rising global prominence.”
This is a view echoed by Ince & Co Singapore Managing Partner, Richard Lovell: “The Ince Law Alliance greatly enhances our ability to service our clients’ businesses in the maritime, energy and offshore, trade and insurance markets in which we specialise. Through this new alliance with Incisive Law, we are meeting along-standing need of our clients for English and Singapore law advice and representation under the same roof. Our clients will benefit from savings in both time and cost through the provision of an efficient ‘one-stop shop’ for legal services.”
