The Leopard shipyard has taken part in the Genoa Boat Show since its inception in 1962 and won the Unione Nazionale dei Cantieri e delle Industrie Nautiche e Affin (UCINA) award for fifty years of participation.
Built in collaboration with naval architect Andre Bacigalupa and the Christiano Gattao design team, the Leopard 43-metre was launched in the spring of 2009. The vessel won the World Yachts Trophy 2010 for the best layout in the Sport Yacht over 24-metres category.
Piero Picchiotti, patron of the Picchiotti family, who have owned the Leopard brand since the seventies, accepted both awards on behalf of the company.
“The two awards testify the value of our company and our everyday commitment to pursue quality and innovation while building our yachts,” said Sandro Picchiotti, president of the company.
