The London Boat Show starts today, hosting around 1,000 boats and more than 500 exhibitors showing some of the latest new innovations and technology. For those looking for some design inspiration, there are a few exhibitors in particular to keep your eyes out for.

Sunseeker is always one of the key companies to exhibit at the London Boat Show and this year is no exception. The show will see the launch of two new motoryachts: a 28-metre model and the Predator 53. Particularly worth a look are the decks on the Sunseeker 28, which have been fitted with Esthec’s composite decking. The yacht’s cap rails and steps are also constructed using this durable, eco-friendly material. For a material that requires a minimum of maintenance, does not splinter, is extremely hard-wearing and does not require trees to be cut down to make it, Esthec still looks high-quality and is available in a wide variety of colours and forms.

The intriguingly-named British company The House of Ugly Fish will also be displaying their unique handmade, fused glass art. As well as creating flat glass wall panels, shaped glass wall panels, mounted glass wall panels, framed glass, lighting, mirrors, hand made tiles and splash backs for kitchens and bathrooms, the company also offers a bespoke service where the glass can be tailor made to order.

The importance of sourcing the right mattresses for a superyacht was explored in Cabin Space in Q9 and the Marine Bedding Company will be present to discuss its handmade to measure mattresses, bedding and sheets. Marine Bedding Company will also be showing its DryMesh under mattress ventilation layer (pictured), which has been designed to prevent dampness and mould build up.

For the latest RIB designs, be sure to visit Rib-X, Williams Performance Tenders, Cobra and Zodiac. Zodiac in particular will be debuting a new, luxurious Medline range as well as three new models called the Cadet 310 Neo, Pro Classic 420 (pictured) and the Yachtline Deluxe 420.
