Nigel Upton joins MPV

Marina Port Vell (MPV), which is currently under development, has announced Nigel Upton as the latest addition to its roster. Upton joins MPV as its senior sales manager.

The role will see him liaising directly with both prospective and existing clients. He will be based at the marina.

Upton is well known among the superyacht fraternity, having worked at director level for both Superyacht Tenders and MGMT Yacht. He has also worked for EYOS and Ribeye Balearics.

“Since January, we have experienced a remarkable upsurge in interest for the berths we are creating here at Marina Port Vell in Barcelona”, explained Salamanca Group’s marine division director, Norma Trease. “We are excited that Nigel has agreed to join our sales team.

“We met Nigel when he sold us our beautiful Windy Tender, so we know first-hand that he understands how to work with clients and close deals. Further, he is remarkably customer service-oriented, which is a top priority for us”, she added.
