NSSLGlobal COO to become new MD

Sally-Anne Ray has been appointed the new managing director of satellite communications service provider, NSSLGlobal. Ray was previously the chief operating officer, a position she has held since the end of 2011. She will replace outgoing MD Bob Chewter, who will retire on 30 June.

Ray, who has worked in the sat comms sector for 20 years, said of her appointment:

“I am very pleased to have been appointed managing director at this very exciting time for the satellite communications industry. The company will continue to work with its partners and customers to maintain and grow our leading industrial position.”

Outgoing MD, Bob Chewter, said: “It’s been a great journey seeing NSSLGlobal transform from its maritime roots to becoming the leading global satellite communications player it is today. I am delighted to be handing over to Sally-Anne, who has already played a major part in the company’s success and she’s well experienced to take the company on to the next stage of its exciting development.”
