Princess Anne presents Port Solent marina with 5 Gold Anchors award

UK’s Port Solent marina, Portsmouth, has been awarded 5 Gold Anchors by The Yacht Harbour Association (TYHA) at the London Boat Show.

The award is the highest score ranking in the TYHA Gold Anchor scheme – which ranks from 1 to 5 Gold Anchors – which assesses the level of customer service and quality of moorings. Marinas are assessed against technical criteria based on the Code of Practice for the construction and operation of marinas and yacht harbours.

“We are delighted and honoured to have been awarded Five Gold Anchors. This prestigious award reflects the hard work of my marina team and our continual investment in our marina services and facilities,” commented Port Solent’s General Manager, Andy Osman.

The 5 Gold Anchor scheme is a global standard of excellence, with 68 marinas achieving the accolade to date. Port Solent will take its place alongside Mandalina Marina in Croatia and Royal Phuket Marina Thailand, which also have the 5 Gold Anchor status.

Premier Marinas operated Port Solent marina, in Portsmouth Harbour, has 12 superyacht berths for yachts up to 35m. Its facilities include an on site heliport, a 24-hour lock operation and a fully serviced boatyard.
