Reckmann Group purchases Holmatro Marine Hydraulics
The Reckmann Group has purchased the marine branch of hydraulics specialist, Holmatro. Reckmann's CEO, Marcus Schuldt told SuperyachtNews.com that it would allow the group's yachting division to offer a complete rigging solution.…
Speaking to Superyachtnews.com, Reckmann CEO, Marcus Schuldt said that the Holmatro range would now be marketed under the Reckmann Rigging Products banner. Schuldt said that, whilst the company manufactures some of the finest marine hydraulics products it has, up to now, lacked the access to the superyacht industry that Reckmann can now offer it. The economic downturn, he added, has influenced Holmatro’s decision to focus on its highly successful industrial activities.
“We think it could be an additional product range for us”, Schuldt explained. Reckmann will move the entire Holmatro operation from its base in the Netherlands to Reckmann HQ in Rellingen, Germany. “We have already hired new people to handle the incoming inventory – a couple of thousand boxes, 5,000 articles and 10,000 drawings – and the challenge will be to implement this into what we do here in the coming weeks.”
