Savannah Yacht Center opens new facility

The East coast yard designed to cater to larger yachts…

Savannah Yacht Center (SYC) has opened its facilities on the East coast of the USA, now the only yard in the country with the capacity to cater to multiple yachts over 60m.

The new yard features a 3,240m shiplift, 365m of floating docks for in-water service and paint refinishing, plus a dry dock of up to 140m LOA. Electrical, fabrication, joinery and fueling services are available on-site and, additionally, the crew can enjoy a bistro style restaurant, fitness centre, crew lounge and concierge services.

Vice-president of SYC, Jim Berulis places the company’s success on the vision of its founder: “the cornerstone of our success is our founder’s commitment to building a company with the reputation for unquestionable integrity and service. While our facilities and operations have become decidedly more modern, our corporate philosophy has remained the same: to be successful, you must always earn the respect and confidence of those with whom you do business. That belief is not only the bedrock of our successful past but also the foundation of our bright future.”

In addition, the Pinmar team is now based in the new state of the art paint facility at SYC and stated that “they are looking forward to a busy season in Georgia.”
