Porto Mirabello announce partnership with The Superyacht Forum 2019…

We are delighted to announce that Porto Mirabello has confirmed as a headline partner of our flagship event, The Superyacht Forum, once more.

Nestled closely by Forte dei Marmi, Viareggio and Portofino, Porto Mirabello can be found in the Gulf of Poets, and is home to approximately 100 berths that can host vessels from 24 to 140m. Running year-round, Porto Mirabello is located in La Spezia, a busy superyacht hub with a concentration of world-class shipyards that are sited right next to the Marina.

This year, Porto Mirabello will be focusing on three main features that are at the core of their business; “security, community and beauty,” according to Alessandro Menozzi, Chairman of ITN, “These are the main concepts that are key aspects of the harbour.

“We would like to showcase Porto Mirabello to those who may be unfamiliar with us, and we would like to highlight that our Marina, situated in the western Mediterranean, offers great facilities, extreme security in a safe location and an ideal place for crews and captains.

“We have chosen to partner with The Superyacht Forum as we believe that The Superyacht Group is the most reliable company in the nautical field,” continued Menozzi. “At this year’s Forum, we would like to reiterate to delegates what the main features of an ideal Home Port must have.”

Regarding this year’s theme ‘Building for The Next Generation’, Porto Mirabello believe that efficiency is of high importance. “Efficiency in the entire nautical chain: building, refit, customer assistance, and of course, technology,” said Menozzi. It is important for our industry to keep up-to-date with the demands of this digitally-native generation, and as such, day three of The Superyacht Forum will be our ‘Technology Day’, exploring the ways in which industries external to their own can apply their expertise to forge the way in which technology will shape the future of the superyacht industry.

“This year, we are hoping to see discussions taking place about the safety of berths, and how this may be important, if not fundamental, for a yacht,” commented Menozzi. “In a world where climate change causes frequent extreme weather conditions, and with an increasing number of superyachts under construction, ensuring a safe berth becomes imperative. We would also like to hear about new technologies that are respectful to the environment, following the topic of sustainability."

The key factors that Porto Mirabello consider of high importance for the next generation of their market are; “technology, services, assistance, expertise and strategic location for their new yachts.”

Join Porto Mirabello in Amsterdam from 18th – 20th November at The Superyacht Forum by clicking here, as we ensure our industry is ‘Building for the Next Generation’ at the RAI, in association with METSTRADE.
