Tecma Evolution
Toilets are not generally regarded as objects of design, but they can certainly make or break the look of a bathroom. Italian manufacturer Tecma has released a new and improved version of its wall-mounted Evolution marine toilet, giving it a sleeker look and making it more technologically advanced...…
Nominated for the 2010 METS Design Awards, the Evolution has undergone a handful of modifications to improve upon the current traditional look of the product. The changes include the relocation of the mounting bolts to make them almost invisible when in place, a hydraulically operated soft closing lid system and the availability of a 230V engine. The new model incorporates the split system feature found on the older model, which allows the ceramic foot of the unit to be separated from the toilet for easy maintenance and repair of the mechanical assembly. Additionally, the Evolution has been fitted with Tecma’s macerator technology. “The long life macerator pump has proven its worth both in practice and by the winning of awards”, explains Senior Marine Product Manager Karl Schrooyen.
The Evolution will be available from January 2011 for euro 950, with the matching bidet available for euro 425.
