The new FloorLite from YachtLite

Yachtlite’s latest product, FloorLite, promises to provide designers with fresh inspiration for outdoor lighting schemes. Originally developed by YachtLite as a custom product for a client interested in installing inlayed deck lights, these new lights are ideal for teak decks or steps.

Constructed out of solid acrylic with sealed in LEDs, these strong lights are designed to be completely flush with the flooring. The surface of each FloorLite is prepared with a special top layer that can be sanded down along with the teak decking in one swift process to create a smooth, level surface. They can be custom made in any shape up to approximately 3 sqm and are available with various colours of LED.

The FloorLite is the latest addition to YachtLite’s ever-growing range of product lines, including FormLite and RoomLite. Their CNC-controlled equipment ensures flawless customisations and when coupled with the increasingly complex lighting control technology that is available, their lights can be used to create impressive lighting concepts. Most recently, YachtLite worked on Feadship’s Lady Christine illuminating an external staircase with 47 individually made steps.

YachtLite will be exhibiting their various lines at the Monaco Boat Show in September.
