Superyacht Alliance established
Founding members MYBA, SYBAss and IAMI, announce the new Superyacht Alliance for Professional Standards qualification…
On 19 October, the Superyacht Alliance for Professional Standards was founded in Malta by the founding members MYBA, SYBAss and IAMI, in the presence of Hon Minister Dr Aaron Farrugia, Malta’s Minister for Transport. This new organisation will initiate new qualification programmes for professionals in the superyacht industry, such as the Yacht Owners Representative Programme, as well as promote existing initiatives such as the GUEST programmes for hospitality.
According to a statement, the primary aim and objective of the Alliance is to align the associations throughout the superyacht industry to raise the bar for professionalism. It will also ensure to create more visibility and awareness of the job opportunities that exist.
The Hon Minister welcomed this achievement and congratulated the funding associations for their commitment towards a more environmentally sound and sustainable industry. He also reiterated Malta’s commitment towards the success of the alliance and reassured the alliance that Malta will remain steadfast in its policy to further consolidate the quality mark in this important industry.
The Yacht Owner Representative Programme (YORP) was launched to provide formal training for the idiosyncratic world of owner representation. Backed by SYBAss, IAMI and GUEST, representatives from each will also lead a panel workshop at TSF: Connect.
In 2022 every available ticket was sold out and based on early bird sign-ups, we expect the same to happen this year. Be sure to join us at The Rai once again for TSF: Connect. Please click here for membership registration, renewal and purchase.
