After a successful year in 2018, The Superyacht Captains Forum returns to Viareggio to host alongside the 9th edition of The Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience (YARE). Organised by Navigo, the centre for innovation and development for the Tuscan nautical industry, YARE is an international event providing a platform for Captains, Chief Engineers and Yacht Managers to develop their business through networking with key industry leaders. 

One hundred Captains from all around the world attended YARE last year, representing some of the most important international shipyards, alongside 94 participating companies from the refit sector. In addition, over 1,500 business meetings were held, alongside powerful workshop sessions and many networking events.  

For 2019, the event will follow the same format: beginning on 20 March starting with a yachting district tour upon arrival, followed by a welcome party in the evening.

The second day of the event will be hosted by The Superyacht Captains’ Forum organised by The Superyacht Group, YARE’s international conference and media partner. The Superyacht Captains’ Forum is a one-day event which brings together around one hundred Captains to analyse the industry’s current shape and looks at confronting data with an international outlook.

Much like last year, The Superyacht Captains’ Forum will begin with a candid panel discussion, followed by dynamic round table discussions and group workshop sessions. These events hope to generate an open dialogue on a host of issues that occur in the midst of a refit and in the life of a Captain in general.

These interactive panel discussions and round tables will provide the Captains’ an opportunity to discuss the current trends and issues of the refit sector, with the hope of creating solutions. It will be incredibly captivating, and one of the most important events in the yachting calendar.

The third day of YARE will be an opportunity for businesses and consumers to meet: with a ‘B2C Meet the Captains’ session giving all the Captains attending a chance to meet with the many businesses that are also there. Rounded off by a dinner for all Captains.

YARE will be a rich and compelling event, bringing together a number of exclusive industry professionals for four days of networking, business and education.
