KVH Industries opens demo and training lab to serve Asia-Pacific region

KVH Industries has opened a showroom, test and training centre for partners and customers in Singapore to serve the ‘critically important’ Asia-Pacific region.

The new facility features a ‘state-of-the-art’ demo and training lab where KVH partners and customers can observe the company’s products in action. It will also demonstrate first hand how shipboard applications can be integrated with KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband network.

KVH’s Chief Executive Officer, Martin Kits van Heyningen said: “This region is critically important to maritime commerce around the globe. We feel it is important to have permanent staff and facilities here to ensure the best service for KVH customers and partners.”

The products on show include the TracVision HD11, a global maritime satellite TV system with full support for high-definition programming. Global mini-VSAT Broadband satellite communications service and compatible TracPhone V7 and TracPhone V3 antennas, and the CommBox Ship/Shore Network Manager are also on display.

Kits van Heyningen commented: “KVH’s mini-VSAT Broadband satellite communications network and TracPhone, CommBox, and TracVision systems offer tremendous benefits to the yachts that operate in these waters. We look forward to serving mariners not just in Singapore, but throughout the Asia-Pacific region.”

The launch of KVH’s Singapore office is in line with the company's ambitions to achieve a fully global reach. Its mission statement is ‘to connect mobile customers around the globe with the same digital television entertainment, communications, and Internet services that they enjoy in their homes and offices.’ The Singapore office adds to KVH's portfolio of offices in Rhode Island, Illinois, Denmark and Norway.
