Zeno
Encouraging a sense of uncomplicated space and light, glass is an essential material for any minimal interior, making the new Zeno coffee table from Sand & Birch a must-have piece for minimalists...…
Bringing to mind a clear stream of water flowing over polished pebbles, Zeno’s transparent volume of glass rests on white ceramic feet. Conceived by Italian design studio Sand & Birch for Blueside - Emotional Design, a new branch of Italian glass specialist Steroglass, the table is modern, simple and sophisticated.
Founded in 2003 by Andrea Fino and Samanta Snidaro, Sand & Birch came about when the duo decided to join their different cultural backgrounds and experiences together. Aiming to reinterpret the traditional notions of furniture design and to bring new meaning to objects, the pair describe their work as “slow luxury”, preferring to work on limited edition pieces and unique projects that allow them to test, customise and create to the highest standards. All of Sand & Birch’s products are on show at its new showroom, D3life Store, in Milan, which was opened this month.
