Approval for the Corecell M-Foam

SP – High Modulus has secured further approval for its new marine foam core, Corecell M-Foam, from Bureau Veritas and Registro Italinano Navale (RINA); two of the world's leading certification bodies. Launched into the marine composites market in July 2009 Corecell M-Foam was developed to deliver one product for all marine applications. The product has already been accredited by three other organisations including ABS Quality Evaluations, Det Norske Veritas and Germanischer Lloyd.



According to Graham Harvey, Business Manager Marine, “These approvals, on top of M-Foam's combination of high mechanical properties at low density, high toughness, infusion and prepreg compatibility, offer further validation of M-Foam's proposition for the production and superyacht marine segments”.

M-Foam provides a combination of high shear strength with low density, high elongation, high temperature resistance and low resin uptake. M-Foam has high performance in all situations whether your application is slamming area or superstructure, hull or deck, using hand lamination, infusion or prepreg. Designers, engineers or users can safely specify M-Foam knowing they have chosen a high performance, light weight, all-process compatible product.
