Yacht Moments announces sale of 50m Rossinavi

The Rossinavi sale comes a month after Yacht Moments announced the sale of 63m Benetti, Project Balance…

The day preceding the 2017 Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show saw Palma-based Yacht Moments announce the sale of a 49.7m Rossinavi.

The Rossinavi, also known as Project FR038, has been sold to a long-standing German client, and is set for a Spring 2020 delivery. The FR038, with aluminium hull and superstructure, comes in below the 500gt threshold, and finds itself an addition to the existing sub-500gt fleet (above 30m), which currently stands at 3,076 superyachts, 59.8 per cent of the delivered fleet. The vessel will also add to the 147 sub-500gt motoryachts in the currently in build, as reported in 'The sub-500gt Motoryacht Report' in Issue 180 of The Superyacht Report.

This news from Yacht Moments comes a month after the brokerage house announced the sale of Project Balance (pictured), a 63m Benetti already under construction. Project Balance is one of 25 superyachts in the Benetti order book, five of which are scheduled for delivery in the remaining two months of 2017. However, as we saw in 2016, a number of shipyards had yachts in build, with a scheduled delivery for the remaining few months of the year, only a few of which actually hit the water.

Despite this, in The Superyacht Annual Report: New Build 2016, Benetti still ranked number one in the ‘top shipyard’ list, and Rossinavi 40. This ranking does, perhaps, belie the fact that Rossinavi continues to go from strength to strength in 2017, with this news following the launch of two motoryachts (49m Aurora and 49.9m Endeavour II) and the delivery of one, the 48.5m N2H. And while the FR038 isn’t set for delivery until 2020, this sale is yet more positive news for the shipyard.

The new-build market will be dissected and analysed, with The Superyacht Intelligence Agency, during a workshop in The Superyacht Forum, taking place 13-16 November in Amsterdam. For more information, or to register your place, click here.
