Dassault Systemes launches the “IFWE Compass”

Dassault Systemes, developer of the 3DEXPERIENCE design platform, has released the latest edition of its software. The V6 2014 version includes new ‘IFWE Compass’ software, bringing the unified navigational interface across the entire 3DEXPERIENCE platform, whether on premises, or on a public or private cloud.
“Our new navigational user interface is so intuitive that we wanted to give it a name: ‘IFWE Compass,’ because in business it is always a question of considering ‘what if’ scenarios to find the right path,” said Monica Menghini, executive vice president, Industry & Marketing, at Dassault Systèmes.
“This new release of the 3DEXPERIENCE platform will help business leaders connect ideas, people, data, and solutions to create experiences that delight their customers and inspire brand loyalty,” she added.
The new compass interface provides intuitive navigational access to all Dassault Systèmes apps, 3D modelling apps and information intelligence apps. Via the social and collaborative apps quadrant it allows users to create online internal and external social communities to connect people from all components in a business from marketing, sales and designers to external suppliers.
It also increases collaboration with 3D space for cloud storage and sharing of any content. From the 3D modelling apps quadrant, 3D models can be seen by anyone whether on the shop floor or in the boardroom.
Other enhancements to the V6 Release 2014 include freedom to create your own personal or business dashboard. It is also possible to search for information from private networks, files systems or the internet and a unique tagging system can intuitively segment information.
