Fiona Barratt Interiors announces new flagship
Fiona Barratt Interiors has announced the launch of a new flagship store in London for FBC London and a luxury interior design studio…
Previously the old Post Office depot at Howick Place, the soon-to-be home of FBC London is filled to the rafters with renowned luxury design brands such as Tom Ford, Marc Newsom, Dolce & Gabbana, Jimmy Choo and Burberry - to name but a few. The addition of FBC London affirms the Howick Place development as a burgeoning luxury design and fashion hub.
The showrooms ambience will be one of “Industrial versus Super Lux” explains Fiona. An eclectic mixture of luxurious materials, tactile finishes and feature lighting will contrast the urbanised exposed brick, steel beams and polished concrete floor.
Howick Place will become the home of Fiona Barratt Interiors, her growing design team and the luxury residential and commercial projects that accompany them. In addition to the Pimlico Road showroom it will also become the new flagship retail store for her signature furniture line. Accompanying the in-house furniture will be a selection of lighting from designers such as Lindsey Adelman, Christopher Boots and Bec Brittain as FBC London showcases its prowess as the exclusive UK retailer of these luxury brands.
The newly renovated space will incorporate an open plan design studio, luxury offices on a mezzanine level, a furniture showroom by FBC London (open to the public 5 days a week) and a design library. A 9-meter long entertainment space complete with a fully working kitchen will be used to host a number of events throughout the year, including design seminars and guest hosted talks. The bespoke kitchen has been designed entirely by Fiona and will feature appliances from one of the world’s most renowned luxury brands – brand to be announced prior to launch. The studio will also have a number of bespoke bathrooms showcasing luxury sanitaryware by Dornbracht.
The concept behind the new Fiona Barratt Studio and FBC London flagship showroom is to offer a complete ‘lifestyle experience’ for those interested in design and looking to refurbish or update their homes. It provides a unique opportunity to meet with designers, see the furniture ranges up close and experience working displays to give the client an insight into the design process in a relaxed and informal way.
