The Perini Navi Group has announced the delivery of the 55m Galileo G, the second of three projects to come from the group’s Picchiotti division. Delivery took place at the Picchiotti yard in La Spezia, in the presence of the build team and owner’s representatives.

Galileo G, part of the Vitruvius series, has been built to Ice Class specifications, to enable it to navigate challenging routes such as the Northwest Passage and Canada’s Arctic Archipelago. The yacht is a collaborative concept between Vitruvius Ltd, Philippe Briand and the Perini Navi Group.

The third vessel is the Picchiotti Vitruvius series, the 73m M/Y C.2189, scheduled to arrive at the La Spezia yard at the beginning of 2012, following the construction of the hull and superstructure in Istanbul. Delivery is due in early 2013.
