UK, London. J. Robert Scott, known for its luxury furniture and textiles, has introduced a new collection called Grotto. Designed by founder and president of the company Sally Sirkin Lewis, the new collection offers a wide range of textures and fabrics in green.
Grotto collection
“We believe that green is going to become the new grey,” explained director of international sales Margarite Zouppas at J. Robert Scott’s showroom in Design Centre, Chelsea Harbour during its London Design Week 2016. “This new collection offers designers something new to play with and in a wide range of finishes and textures.”
The new collection introduces Camellia II, reinterpreted in a luxurious blend of fine gauge wool, silk, and linen, while Tattersall Grotto introduces diagonal and pointilist weave structures creating a modern sensibility to a classical idea. The hues of the Grotto collection work well on their own, while providing continuity and versatility to the overall J. Robert Scott textile range.
Harry's Bar cabinet in Ombré
The collection compliments pieces finished in J. Robert Scott’s Ombré, which was developed to achieve the transparent gradient effect of a watercolour on wood veneers. It is a finish that has been applied to the Harry's Bar cabinet, on display at the showroom.
