Loretta Anne delivered to her owner

Loretta Anne, the 47m motoryacht designed by Dubois, has been delivered to her owner.

Constructed at Alloy Yachts in New Zealand and launched in March this year, Loretta Anne is a new concept yacht that shares some similar features to her older sister of the same name, Loretta Anne IV.

She is the 22nd Dubois design built by Alloy - the fifth of its motoryachts – and has a number of esoteric design features:

“Our aim was to combine excellent seakeeping with an efficient hull and pleasing, timeless looks,” the report from Dubois said.

These standout features include her vertical bridge screen and galley situated on the main deck, unusual for a ‘two and a half deck’ yacht. Designers opted for this arrangement because of the resulting streamlined aesthetics it affords.

She was built with a shallow draught of 2.06m to allow access to the Bahamas and Belize, stated as her main cruising grounds.

Powered by Caterpillar engines she cruises at 14 knots with a max speed of 17 knots and a range of 3,500nm at cruising speed.

A fuller report on Loretta Anne appears in June’s The Superyacht Report. Pacific editor, Ellie Brade writes from Alloy’s yard in New Zealand as Loretta Anne hits the waters at her launch.
