Maxwell Marine to show largest superyacht windlass to date
Maxwell Marine's largest superyacht windlass to date - the 380mm capacity SY 38 - will be exhibited at the Monaco Yacht Show by European distributor Saim Marine.…
“The brand new SY 38 [its provision on board] a 90m superyacht confirms the company’s ability to offer customers top quality equipment, in response to the demand for larger superyachts by boatyards and naval architects and engineers all over the world”, commented Marco Donà from Saim Marine, the Italian supplier that is marketing the SY 38.
As Donà mentioned, Maxwell Marine is currently manufacturing two AC powered SY38s in its New Zealand factory for an unnamed 90m superyacht, in addition to a complete ancillary anchoring package consisting of two VC32 (320 mm warping drum diameter) stern handling capstans and two mirror polished Chain Stopper/Tensioner units, along with other support equipment such as Variable Frequency Drives (VFD’s), hand-held windlass controllers/chain counters and an integrated electronic windlass monitoring helm station system and chain counter linked to the vessel’s on board computer.
The SY 38 will be available to view at the Saim Marine stand.
