The Superyacht Singapore Association (SSA) has confirmed that Megaway Engineering & Trading Pte. Ltd. has launched its first superyacht at Megaway Engineering in Tuas, Singapore on 27 December 2011.

The  tri-deck superyacht, Megaway 128, measures 39m, is built to Bureau Veritas (BV) Class, and has two MTU engines. According to the press release, she has a range of 3,000nnm at 18 knots, and 5,000nm at 15 knots.

Built in the yard that covers approximately 43,000sq ft, Megaway 128 accommodates twelve guests in eight cabins, with four cabins for the eight crew members and captain. She was designed by in-house designer, Monica Gunawan.

The launch of the 39m superyacht was a momentous occasion for Mr. S. L. Ho, Managing Director of Megaway Engineering & Trading, who successfully saw the team through its first yacht build project.

Megaway, who has mainly operated in the marine and offshore engineering industries since its formation in 1986, has said it recognised the need to move from commercial projects to crafting large luxury vessels.
