Mondo Marine launches 41m superyacht 'Okko'

Italian shipyard Mondo Marine has launched motoryacht 'Okko', previously known as Project 18/7. 'Okko' is one of seven superyachts in the shipyard's 41m tri-deck series.…

On 9 June 2012 Mondo Marine launched its 41m tri-deck superyacht Okko at its Savona facility. Previously known as Project 18/7, the all-aluminium motoryacht is the sixty-first yacht to be built by Mondo Marine.

Okko is one of seven superyachts in the Italian shipyard’s 41m tri-deck series, however her superstructure and design differs from these, notably her extensive windows, part of her external lines designed by Giorgio Vafiadis. Vafiadis is also responsible for her contemporary classic spacious interior, which features frakè wood, each sheet of which has been individually positioned to create the best possible grain match, with the result of smooth and even colour.

Of the tri-deck motoryacht, the main deck features the owner’s suite, with a salon and dining area in the aft. Okko’s lower deck has been reserved entirely for guests, and features four cabins including two full-beam VIP suites.

Okko’s two MTU 12V 2000 M91 engines allow the 41m motoryacht to cruise at 14 knots and reach a max speed of 16.5 knots, and, according to the shipyard, with the absence of vibration.

Following the launch of Okko, five additional superyachts between 41m and 54m remain under construction at Mondo Marine. Okko’s delivery is scheduled for July, following which she will be presented at the Monaco Yacht Show in September later this year.

Specifications of Okko:

Draught: 2.3m
GRT: <400
Builder: Mondo Marine
Engines: 2 x MTU 12V 2000 M91
