NSSL Global expands coverage to East Africa and South America

Global satellite communications provider NSSL Global has expanded its VSAT coverage areas to include East Africa and South America, increasing its ever-expanding coverage network.…

Global satellite communications provider NSSL Global has further developed its DBB2-RCS Network, which is now capable of reaching East Africa and South America.

The new coverage areas are provided for by the SES-4 satellite, whilst two new beams will be operated out of NSSL Global’s Jacksonville hub, the first providing coverage of and around South America, and the second of and around North Africa, including the Gulf of Aden, Somalia, Ethiopia, Uganda, Kenya and south of Sudan.

The expansion of NSSL Global’s DVBS22RCS network is part of the satellite communication provider’s programme of continued technological investment and advancement.

“At NSSL Global we are committed to the ongoing development of our network,” said Chief Operating Officer at NSSL Global, Sally-Anne Ray. “These new spot beams provide coverage in two of the world’s fastest growing territories. The improved coverage in South America and East Africa will ensure that NSSL Global is fully equipped to meet increasing coverage needs of our customers.”
