Perini Navi delivers 50m sailing yacht

Perini Navi’s 50m ketch, hull C.2173, launched on 2 April 2012, has now been delivered to her owner. The sailing yacht is the second vessel in the Italian shipyard’s 50m aluminium hulled series, and is the 52nd vessel in Perini Navi’s sailing yacht fleet.

She was designed by the yard’s in-house naval architects in collaboration with Ron Holland of New Zealand. Constructed in aluminium, she shipyard describes her as having “sleek, aggressive lines,” which Perini Navi adds that this, as well as a longer waterline and strongly vertical appendages, makes for improved sailing performance.

Her ketch sail plan has been designed and built by the Perini Navi Group’s mast department and totals over 1,4000sqm, whilst the main and mizzen masts measure 56.7m and 473m respectively.
