Evac launches superyacht-specific ComVac

Evac has launched its superyacht-specific closed wastewater system, the ComVac. The complete system consists of the Prestige vacuum toilet, the collection tank and a wastewater treatment plant, ensuring that it complies with the IMO’s regulations in this area.

Evac claims that the ComVac system makes the installation and maintenance of onboard wastewater treatment straightforward, as it is completely integrated. Furthermore, Prestige bathroom components can be supplied to match the individual needs of the architect or designer.



The components that make up the system are the Prestige 910 series bowl; a vacuum interface valve unit, an OnlineVac, which creates a vacuum, and the ORCA III sewage treatment system. The latter can treat all onboard black and grey water in compliance with IMO resolution MEPC159 (55), which tightened previous regulations relating to effluent water levels upon its introduction in 2010.
