'Rising Sun' shows off cleaner look after window refit

Yacht Assistant Services (YAS) in France, which completed the work, sent SuperyachtNews photos of her transformation. ‘Before’ and ‘after’ shots on the 138m Lurssen yacht are even more interesting considering in ‘before’ shots windows were cleaned as much as possible before the treatment began.
“One good thing is that we have been able to compare treated and untreated glass, I’m happy with the results,” said Matthew Dane, relief captain on Rising Sun.
David Sieur at YAS added that he was pleased with the completion time. “We started Rising Sun in September and it was quite a big project but we finished it in three weeks.”
YAS employed both its glass renovation and its ‘liquid protector’ treatment system on the yacht to ensures she stays gleaming for as long as possible.
The company can remove marks as significant as those left by rust, reflection damage and silicones as well as the more day-to-day sea damage of saltwater stains.
Sieur advises that yachts undergo the process once a year.
“To keep the 100 per cent effect it’s good to have the process done yearly. For crew the advantage is you save 80% of time cleaning windows, you can use the time for service and owner. When we do the treatment the results are visible; it’s shiny and new again.”
