Rosetti Superyachts expands range of supply vessels

Italian shipyard, Rosetti Superyachts, has announced that it has expanded its offering, yet again, as two new superyacht concepts are added to its supply vessel range. After establishing its distinctive style of yachts that the yard offer to the market at the Monaco Yacht Show 2018, the two new concepts from Rosetti Superyachts don’t deviate from this mission and have a functional focus with a superyacht finish.
Designed by Giovanni Ceccarelli, in collaboration with the shipyard, the new offering includes a 35m concept and a 50m concept, both of which have been designed to maximise the use of the main deck for transporting tenders and toys.
Prior to the design of these two new concepts, Ceccarelli’s remit was primarily in the sailing yacht world including roles as chief designer of Mascalzone Latino, the 2003 America’s Cup contender, and +39 Challenge that competed in the 2007 Louis Vuitton Cup. His diverse experience also includes working as the engineering manager for the removal of the Costa Concordia, the cruise ship which ran aground in 2012.
“The two designs for Rosetti Superyachts came about [because of] my desire to work with a shipyard that I know very well as it is based in my own home town of Ravenna, and from my longstanding friendship with Fulvio Dodich."

“The two designs for Rosetti Superyachts came about [because of] my desire to work with a shipyard that I know very well as it is based in my own home town of Ravenna, and from my longstanding friendship with Fulvio Dodich [partner and chairman of Rosetti Superyachts],” says Ceccarelli.
“In both concepts, the hulls and superstructures are part and parcel of each other, much like in sailboat design,” Ceccarelli continues. “They are not simply exercises in ‘redressing’ a standardised platform; instead, the hull lines and topsides are inextricably linked to give continuity to the whole. I wanted to create an original exterior profile distinguished by clean, essential lines that eliminate superfluous elements to arrive at a truly timeless design.”
With a beam of 8.25m the new tri-deck 35m concept has been designed to offer the best of both worlds, in that this is a functional vessel with a high-end superyacht finish. Falling below the 500gt threshold, the new vessel has the capacity to accommodate up to eight guests.
The 50m concept (that also falls below the 500ft threshold) offers an interesting design solution in that the main deck is arranged across two levels, covering a total area of 170sqm. As with the 35m vessel, the 50m features an open plan layout on the main deck with the owner’s suite located on the upper deck.
“These new concepts join our stable of projects developed by two other designers and already presented [to the market],” says partner and chairman of Rosetti Superyachts Fulvio Dodich. “The brand mission [of the shipyard] is to provide our clients with as much flexibility as possible by offering a wide range of different proposals that can be further customised according to their needs.”
The Rosetti Superyachts range now fall between an extensive offering from 35-140m, all of which reinforce the luxury supply vessel approach.
