Royal Huisman launches sailing yacht ‘Pumula’
'Pumula', formerly project Bugamena, a 37.33m classic cutter cruising ketch, has been launched by Royal Huisman.…
With the build project managed by Jens Cornelsen, Pumula, previously under the project name Bugamena, is a classic cutter cruising ketch with a fully ballasted and retractable bulb keel. Her naval architecture is by Dykstra Naval Architects and Rhoades Young has designed her interior.
She features two deckhouses on an uncluttered, open deck and there is a secluded owner’s cockpit behind the aft deckhouse. There is also an on-deck dining area located between the helm and main deckhouse. Pumula accommodates eights guests in six cabins.
She can reach a top speed of 12.5 knots when powered by her Scania DI12 59M 331kW engine and she is MCA compliant and registered with Lloyd’s.
Pumula will be delivered later this spring.
