RS Sailing is to release its RS Venture sailing dinghy, measuring five metres in length and capable of carrying six people.

As an alternative to conventional tenders, the RS Venture is lightweight, ensuring solid performance under sail, whilst providing stability thanks to its extended width and low freeboard. Performance can also be enhanced with optional spinnaker kits or an outboard engine.

The cockpit optimises space with the positioning of a well-forward set mast, and an optional thwart. This gives room for plenty of people as well as the ability to stow the outboard engine in a rear locker. Under side tank stowage bags can be clipped into place so all kit can be stored away without cluttering the cockpit. A boarding ladder can also be fitted to the RS Venture creating a suitable swim platform.

The RS Venture will be officially launched at the 2011 Southampton Boat Show.
