South African shipyard Southern Wind has launched 31.4m S/Y Hevea. The yacht is the second launch in their SW 102 line, and follows Almagores II which launched in 2012. The SW102 model is designed by Farr and Nauta Design offices.

The launch took place after a few days of delay, due to the strong Cape Doctor wind, which was blowing in Cape Town, Hevea was launched and christened on 22 February at 8:00a.m. On her launch Hevea becomes the 40th yacht delivered from Southern Wind since its foundation in 1991.

Hevea will be exhibited at the 2013 Monaco Yacht Show. Yachts still in construction at the yard include the SW 103 (the streamline version of SW 102).
