Stormy Australia has released the world’s first range of inflatable lifejackets to be accredited with the International Standard ISO12402-3.

Andrew Cook of Stormy France said: “This is a practical, comfortable and affordable option towards the safety of anyone working on or near the water.
The jackets inflate automatically in an overboard emergency; ideal for use in open boats and for non- swimmers as no action is required by the wearer.  A number of super yacht chase boat crew have purchased the jacket as it is both wind and waterproof, it also gives you peace of mind knowing your lifejacket is always on your back.

“Manual activation is possible for those who prefer this by simply fitting the provided blanking cap to the mechanism and pulling down on the inflation cord when appropriate.”

This cap allows the wearer to change the inflation system from water-activated to manual when the wearer evaluates the situation.
