Superyacht Here Comes The Sun - preview
Watch this video taster of the largest Limited Editions yacht yet launched by Amels, 'Here Comes The Sun'…
Amels has released a delicious preview of it's latest large launch - the first 83m Limited Editions 272, named Here Comes The Sun - as she begins her first season on the circuit. The yacht impresses in all areas, as The Superyacht Report discovered when we visited her in Mallorca earlier in the Spring.
Encapsulating expertise in her design and construction in every aspect, Here Comes The Sun is a worthy successor to the Amels 212 Imagine, which was launched in 2011 and which shared the same ownership. "We worked with the same guys that we've worked with in the past," says Yavor Nenov, the owners' representative for both Here Comes The Sun and Imagine, "and that's good because you build your own relationship with them. It worked very well."
With an exterior drawn by Tim Heywood and an interior concept realised by Andrew Winch, Here Comes The Sun includes several clever design ideas such as a secondary finishing galley on the upper dining deck which means not only that food can be delivered quickly to guests, but also that guests can interact with the chef as he prepares fine cuisine or creates additional portions by popular demand.
The yacht itself is a fine example of the success of the Limited Editions range, and it demonstrates just how far this popular, platform-based, custom-build ethos has evolved since Amels first unveiled the concept in 2005. To read a full case study on Here Comes The Sun, look out for the full feature appearing in issue 179 of The Superyacht Report.
