TEAM Italia launches I-Bridge

The navigation solutions provider and integrator, TEAM Italia has unveiled I-Bridge bridge system.

I-Bridge allows the complete integration and ergonomic specification of any bridge 'apparatus' on the market. Unlike other kinds of, simply aesthetic, mechanical and/or electromechanical integrations currently on sale, I-Bridge makes it possible to create a single machine user interface which is both personalised and easy to upgrade over the years. Consequently, owners and their captains can enjoy using a helm station which is constantly updated with the very best technological developments. 

Management of the various modules is facilitated by the 'Multicontrol' system. Designed and manufactured by TEAM Italia, it allows for comprehensive control of the various different instruments through a single device exhibiting a common logic and interface. In addition, the Multicontrol system installed on I-Bridge enables the use of several functionally and aesthetically identical control stations. Each one of the control stations can be used to access any of the available subsystems on the display system and take full operational control.

The integrated subsystems include radars, chart plotters, conning data, the conning engine data monitoring system, CCTV, VHC and other navigation devices. The heart of the I-Bridge system consists of a series of independently operating processors, thus ensuring a high level of redundancy and therefore safety and reliability.

The selection system that can be activated via Multicontrol is context sensitive to the operating environment. A range of scenarios for managing images and controls in the way most suited to the sailing conditions can be selected from the configurable menu. This architecture enables both optimal helm station management and a very high level of safety.
