VvS1 to charter Mediterranean following five-year stint in Pacific

Since her construction by Alloy Yachts in 2007, the 34.18m motoryacht VvS1 has been based in the Pacific for charter. The motoryacht had been the subject of much enquiry regarding charter in the Mediterranean, but  remained in the Pacific at her owner’s request. Now, five years after her construction, VvS1 will be available for charter in the Mediterranean.

VvS1 is the winner of numerous international awards. In 2008 she won “Best Superyacht Under 50 Metres” at the World Superyacht Awards in Venice, and at the World Yacht Trophies in France she won “Best Motoryacht Under 40 Metres,” “Best Interior,” and “Best Functionality.” In the same year she was also nominated for “Best Motoryacht Under 40 Metres” in Fort Lauderdale.





SuperyachtNews.com has been told the motoryacht will be shipped to the Mediterranean from Auckland, New Zealand, by the end of March, though dates are yet to be confirmed due to remaining maintenance work that is to be completed before the change of location. VvS1 is due to be in Gibraltar by May and available for charter in the South of France by the end of May or beginning of June. She will then move east towards Greece and Croatia, depending on charter bookings.

VvS1 is available for charter in the Mediterranean through 37 South at a new rate of €89,000 per week. Fleur Tomlinson of 37 South confirmed that although there have been no bookings as of yet, due to the recent nature of the announcement, "very keen interest is being shown."
