'Tango 5' delivered in Taiwan

After a four-day sea trial cruising around Pong Hu, Taiwan, 35m Tango 5 was christened on a Sunday afternoon ceremony at the Horizon delivery centre. 

Tango 5 is the first yacht from Horizon Yachts' EP115 series. Designed for long cruises, she features a steel hull, a bulbous bow and a stern cockpit for fishing and diving.
 
Horizon CEO John Lu opened the christening ceremony by thanking new owners Mr. and Mrs. Tang and their families for attending. The group had traveled from Singapore to Taiwan to participate in the event.

"Thousands of details went into the build of Tango 5, details that could not be carried out without the help of many Horizon team members. We are proud to have brought this owner's dream yacht to life," said Lu. 



A special guest, Pastor Lu, was invited to lead a prayer for blessings. Horizon also presented owners with a special gift, a pair of dolls dancing the Tango. Mr. and Mrs. Tang had the honour of popping the christening champagne and toasting their family, John Lu and Horizon's shipyard managers in celebration of the yacht.



Tango 5 is built to Bureau Veritas and has twin 1,100hp MAN engines and a 3,000nm range. Her generous interior accommodates eight guests in four cabins with crew quarters provided for six across three cabins.

She was launched in December 2012 and the delivery ceremony was held on Sunday 31 March in Taiwan.
