Superyacht Sales
This week saw six superyacht sales (four motoryachts and two sailing yachts), double that of the previous week.
The largest sale this week was Feadship’s announcement of the signing of a new 45m contract. The Chinese client has requested a similar sized vessel to that of Feadship’s Helix. For further detail of Feadship’s sale please click here.
Burgess sold its central listing, Royal Denship’s 43.4m Waterlily. SuperYachtsMonaco represented the buyer in the sale which saw the 2009 motoryacht asking €14.95 million at the time of sale.
Allied Marine saw much sales success this week, representing the buyer in the sale of Ardell’s listing of Monte Fino’s 33m 1996 (refit in 2007) motoryacht Marbella, asking $1.95 million at the time of sale, and its central listing of Barattucci’s 27.5m 1995 motoryacht Ocean Models, asking $595,000 at the time of sale.
Two sailing yachts were sold this week: Ocean Independence announced the sale of Jongert’s 30m 1993 Sailing T, asking €2.35 million (the brokerage house acted for both the buyer and the seller), and Camper & Nicholsons announced the sale of Wally’s 24m 2000 K2Wind, asking €1.9 million.
New Central Agencies
Ten new central agencies were announced this week, four less than last week. Benetti’s 70m Reverie was the largest superyacht to see activity in this area, with the announcement that Burgess had joined Ocean Independence to list the 2000 motoryacht, asking $55 million. Ocean Independence has also been appointed central agent for Hakvoort’s 31.4m 1985 (refit in 2005) motoryacht La Reina Del Mar, asking €3.7 million.
Not much smaller, Supercraft’s 64.5m motoryacht Van Triumph, previously an open listing, is now listed for sale solely with Northrop & Johnson, asking $7.5 million after a $3.5 million reduction as part of the new listing. The brokerage house has also been appointed central agent for Admiral Marine’s 29m 1990 motoryacht Serenity II, asking $1.95 million.
As well as announcing a sale this week, SuperYachtsMonaco also announced two new central listings: Bilgin Yachts’ 40m 2010 motoryacht Indiana, asking €8.95 million, and Azimut’s 29.8m 2004 motoryacht Leonardo II, asking €2.5 million.
Fraser Yachts also announced two new central agencies this week: Alloy Yachts’ 33m 2004 (refit in 2009) sailing yacht Paraiso – the only sailing yacht in this category this week – asking $8.995 million, and Bloemsma Van Breeman’s 29.2m 2003 (refit in 2010) motoryacht C1, a joint central agency with Merle Wood & Associates, asking $8.95 million after a $550,000 reduction.
Also announced this week was All Ocean Yachts’ new listing, John DeCaro’s 31.4m Project BC 103 motoryacht, asking $8.195 million, and Arrival Yachts’ new listing of Sunseeker’s 28m 2009 motoryacht Lady Anna III, asking $1.95 million.
Price Reductions
This week saw 10 price reductions, half that of last week, with just one reduction on a sailing yacht. Some large superyachts were reduced this week and as a result some large reductions were announced.
As expected, the largest superyacht reduced saw the largest reduction: Northrop & Johnson reduced its new listing Van Triumph, as mentioned above, by the large sum of $3.5 million to $7.5 million. The brokerage house also reduced the only sailing yacht in this category this week, Valdettaro’s 35m 1994 (refit in 2004) Titan XIV, by $300,000 to $3.6 million.
The second-largest superyacht reduced this week was Trinity Yachts’ 58m 2010 motoryacht Mi Sueno, reduced by $2 million by International Yacht Collection to $46.9 million. The brokerage house announced a $2 million reduction on its joint listing with Merle Wood & Associates, Benetti’s 56m 2005 (refit in 2008) motoryacht Four Aces, now asking $34.9 million. International Yacht Collection’s third reduction this week was a $500,000 price drop on Azimut’s 36m 1994 motoryacht Shalimar, now asking $4.45 million.
All Ocean Yachts announced a $600,000 reduction on Rysco Shipyard’s 53.3m 1977 (refit in 2009) research motoryacht Proteus, now asking $3.25 million.
Moran Yacht & Ship announced a significant $1 million reduction on Palmer Johnson’s 36.5m 2008 motoryacht Vitamin, now asking $14.9 million, whilst RJC Yacht Sales announced a $700,000 drop on Broward’s 36m 2002 motoryacht Sigrun, now asking $5.795 million.
Camper & Nicholsons also announced the reduction of Benetti Sail Division’s 28m 2008 motoryacht Maca, now asking €3.48 million, while Fraser Yachts and Merle Wood & Associates announced the $550,000 reduction of their above-mentioned new joint listing C1, now asking $8.95 million.
Price Increases
This week Fraser Yachts announced the currency change of Inace’s 30.5m 2009 motoryacht Beyond from euros to dollars. As a result, an approximate increase of $285,000 has taken place to reach its new asking price of $6.5 million.
