Wider will be debuting its Wider 42' day cruiser for the first time at the Cannes boat show between 6-11 September 2011.

The Wider 42' differs from other vessels because it is able to double its cockpit surface due to mobile extensions either side of the hull by use of an automatic and patented system. The exterior of the vessel was designed by Fulvio De Simoni.

The weight/power ratio of Wider 42’ means it can reach a top speed of 53 knots and a cruise speed of 40 knots with just 100 l/h consumption for the two 480 mhp Cummins engines.

The project was announced in 2010 and was reported on by SuperyachtDesign.com. You can read the full story here.
