Yacht Phone launched at FLIBS

Yacht Controller has launched Yacht Phone at the recent Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show. Yacht Phone is a hardy mobile device that is being marketed as both a safety device for expeditions away from the vessel and a ‘brandable’ gift for charter guests.

The Yacht Phone possesses a number of features that contribute to its reliability. It is Waterproof and floats to military Spec IP-57. It also has a battery life of an incredible 200 hours when on standby.

The device, which is unlocked and ready to use with any SIM card, can be dropped from a height of 2.5m without sustaining any damage and is extremely lightweight. When the phone is purchased it automatically comes with 50 minutes and 1000 text messages for instant use.

Other features include a built-in flashlight and an FM radio. There is also a wind-up charger if battery life is low and the user is not near a power supply.



The service is provided by YachtCellular.com, Yacht Phone’s own service carrier in partnership with all the major carriers.
